Located amidst a scenic environment in the vicinity of Gachibowli, which is the hub of academic & training institutions, MNC's, software companies, IT institutions and international sports and events, stands the impressive campus of RMCSW & RC(ICSW-TG). The need for trained Social Workers was always felt in order to provide professional service in the areas of welfare and development as voluntary work and voluntary service has been a part of society since ages in the form of giving alms and charity to help the needy. However professionally trained Social Work has emerged as a much needed profession to bridged the gap between needs and resources in the society.

The college established in the year 1966 takes pride in being one of it's kind as it offers social work courses since it's inception in the erstwhile State of Andhra Pradesh.Presently the college offers Undergraduate(BSW), Post graduate(MSW) and Ph.D programmes in Social Work of Osmania University. In it's seven decades of existence it has contributed to the man power needs of Professional Social Workers and Counselors in the area of welfare, development, industry, HR, research, services, academics and consultancy in various capacities.

The alumni of the college occupy eminent positions in several government departments, NGO's, INGO's, Quasi Government organizations,welfare and development sectors and MNC's. Apart from academic programmes the college is involved in research and project consultation for Central and State Governments,NGO's, Research, Welfare, Development and Service Institutions. As a community of scholars of Social Work & Social Welfare we are dedicated to the pursuit ,advancement and transmission of knowledge and practice.
